Initial Site Meeting & Survey
Chris starts all design projects with an onsite consultation. This offers the opportunity to meet one another and be assured that Chris is the right designer for your project as well getting familiar with your site, and having the chance to discuss preferences and use and marks the beginning of the design process.

Following the consultation we write to confirm discussions and the design ideas along with costs for the various stages.

At this stage we ask for a survey or help you commission a survey of your site.

Concept Proposal
After approval from you to proceed and receipt of the survey Chris produces scale sketches of the initial ideas and proposals. He presents these to you and shows how he has explored the design parameters. This stage is discussion based and we like to take on board as many of your comments in order to hone the design.

Masterplan Design
Once a design concept is agreed, a scale masterplan, or plans, are produced indicating character areas, planting types, and proposed surfaces.

Construction & Planting Plans
The detailed plans for both hard landscaping and soft landscaping aspects of the garden are produced after the masterplan has been approved and signed off.

These scale drawings detail the ground preparation, remedial works, planting species and planting techniques for entire site or partial schemes.

Onsite implementation & Project Management
Chris can additionally assist with the appointment of a Landscape Contractor, as well plant sourcing and overall project management. These areas would typically be discussed as the project advances.
