International Flower Shows

New Zealand's version of the Chelsea Flower Show opens 10-14th March 2010 and takes place in the beautiful setting of Hagley Park in Christchurch. The 15 year old show is home to over 100 horticultural exhibits and 30 prestigous show gardens. Chris is proud to be this year's international designer and has set himself a real challenge by creating his, and the shows, largest ever show garden - at over 64 metres long! Bahrain International Gardening Show

Chris has been visiting and working in Bahrain for the last 3 years and is delighted to be visiting this dynamic and exciting gardening show which takes place from 25-28 February 2010. This show is under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain and with the support of the Her Highness Shaikha Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of the King of Bahrain and this year it will carry a strong message to sow seeds for future food security and prosperity and will showcase the glorious plants and flowers from the region, along with new garden technology and equipment. Chris will be there for the first two days of the show including the official show opening.

This initiative has been set up by a group of influential organisations within the horticulture industry to inform people about horticultural careers and the range of fantastic opportunities horticulture has to offer. The web portal is backed by a schools pack which includes series of posters and careers information leaflets.

Chris is delighted to Patron of The British Hedgehog Preservation Society who are dedicated to helping & protecting hedgehogs native to the UK.

Cancer Research UK
Cancer Research does fantastic work in the battle against Cancer and Chris has supported their work, particularly for research against breast cancer, for a number of years.

Forest Schools
The Forest Education Initiative provides learning resources about trees, forests and forest products.

Garden Africa
Garden Africa work to establish productive organic training gardens in schools, hospitals and clinics, growing nutritious food and medicinal plants.

RNLI
The RNLI is the charity that provides a 24-hour lifesaving service around the UK and Republic of Ireland.

The RSPB speaks out for birds and wildlife, tackling the problems that threaten our environment.
