Their aim is to reverse the decline and reinstate grasslands as a significant part of our natural heritage for the benefit of people and wildlife. Rose
In 2007 Chris was asked if he would lend his name to a rose. Chris was more than happy to do, especially when he saw for himself how beautiful it was and so The Chris Beardshaw Rose was launched at the Hampton Court Flower Show that year. As Chris is such an avid supporter of the RNLI he asked for donations from the sale of the rose to go to the charity. Roses and can be ordered from rose specialist C&K Jones www.jonestherose.co.uk and for every rose sold £2.50 goes to the RNLI.
Patron Chris is delighted to be a Patron of:
Philip Green Memorial School The Philip Green Memorial school now caters for about 40 students with a diversity of needs. Each student is an individual valued for him or herself and challenged to do the best they can.
The Professional Gardeners’ Guild The Professional Gardener's Guild is managed entirely by fellow professional gardeners and is funded solely by membership subscription. It remains the only organisation to cater solely for the professional interest of those employed in Private Sector horticulture.
The British Hedgehog Preservation Society The British Hedgehog Preservation Society is dedicated to helping & protecting hedgehogs native to the UK
Growing for Life Chris heads up Growing for Life an initiative which is created out of a passion for bringing people and plants together. At the heart of its activities lies the desire to get back to the roots of gardening - to share knowledge, enthusiasm and most importantly to have fun.

Grow is an initiative set up by a group of influential
organisations within the horticulture industry to inform
people about horticultural careers and the range of
fantastic opportunities horticulture has to offer. The web
portal is backed by a schools pack which includes series of
posters and careers information leaflets. |
